“Boasts Flavour” – Chrismont Merlot 2013

Quite a different wine to the ’12 but similar quality. It boasts flavours of tobacco, mulberry, dark cherries and assorted dry spices, as did the ’12, but where it takes a different turn is through the finish; this release is less about softness and more about firm tannin and more serious intent. You can still enjoy this now, but it will develop well in the cellar too. 92pts. James Halliday Australian Wine Companion Ed.2016
