
LA ZONA Sangiovese 2005 Cellar Release
TASTING NOTES
COLOUR: Brick red in colour with some brown hues.
AROMA: The nose is alive with prune and dark cherry fruit, interlaced with herbs, leather, chocolate notes and dried tobacco.
PALATE: Earthy fruit flavours on the palate with bright acidity.
FOOD: A perfect match to ossobuco, lamb shanks and hearty fare.
Winemaker recommendations: These aged wines with soft mellow tannins will benefit with decanting into your preferred decanter or vessel. Leave for around an hour to allow aromatics to open up and allow wine to acclimatise to the room temperature. Aged reds are best consumed around 18-19°C. If your preference is to poor from bottle to glass, use a larger bowl glass, pour and leave wine to open for 30 minutes before drinking.
