The Chrismont Restaurant is delighted to welcome you for safe and delicious lunchtime dining every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Bookings are essential.

Our architecturally designed Cellar Door, Restaurant and Larder is the realisation of a 20-year dream to create a destination that blends contemporary King Valley winemaking with our family’s style of dining and hospitality based on authenticity, generosity and flavour.

With a menu that blends the seasons with inspirations from time-honoured family recipes, our food reflects our Sicilian and northern Italian cultures, and is designed for shared or individual day-time dining.

The ever-changing a la carte menu is about celebrating traditional dishes but with a touch of the new techniques we see evolving with success in the restaurants of Milan, Florence and Bologna.

The Larder is stocked regularly and offers house-made flavours for visitors to create antipasti and dessert plates at home, including Sicilian pickled melanzane, cumquats in syrup, chocolate spicy walnut biscotti, and orange and ruby grapefruit marmellata.

Named the King Valley’s ‘Cellar Door with BEST Food’ by Gourmet Traveller WINE in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

We will be taking a pre-Christmas break from Monday 14 December and will reopen for restaurant dining and cellar door sales on Boxing Day, Saturday 26 December and throughout the festive and holiday season.

BOOKING INFORMATION

Bookings for all dining is absolutely essential, and we are delighted to offer the following sittings:

11:30am – 1:30pm    OR    2:00pm – 4:00pm

Tables are available for a maximum sitting time of two hours. A ten-guest maximum applies to each table booking

As always, we will do our best to meet all booking requests, however cannot guarantee preferred times or group size, including an increase in guest numbers once your booking has been made, and especially on the day.

If your booking number does change, it is important that you phone prior to arrival as advanced notice may enable us to fit you all in (or make a waiting-list diner extremely happy).

At this stage, guests per table are limited to 10 people. Groups larger than this will be required to sit on two or more tables.

And to help our wonderful team deliver a pleasant experience for all, we do ask that you arrive on time and dine within your booking timeframe.

We’re also pleased to offer dining guests the option to place an order at the table for wines you’d like to take home from Cellar Door, and at your departure.

It’s also important that we all continue to practice strict personal hygiene and safe social distancing, and to abide by the Victorian State Government rules and regulations in place. This includes refraining from visiting Chrismont, in any capacity, if you are showing any symptoms of illness.
