James Halliday Australian Wine Companion, 2010 Edition
Bright straw-green; a very lively, very intense wine with great length and thrust in a citrus and stone fruit spectrum, the oak absorbed by the fruit. High-quality cork. Chardonnay. 14% alc.

Gourmet Traveller Wine, Feb/Mar 2010 Campbell Mattinson
It's a "wow" wine, littered with flavours of leather, earth, cherries and licorise; the comblination of sweetnes and autumnal dustiness/savouriness drastically alluring. Because of all its tannins, it really needs to be served at the dinner table - but Chrismont have a serious wine on their hands here. I love it.

James Halliday Australian Wine Companion, 2010 Edition
An extreme style that will polarize opinions: does the fruit manage to carry the pervasive, savoury tannins? Like many Italian reds, the true answer can only be given with the help of appropriate food. Sangiovese/Cabernet Sauvignon. Cork. 14% alc.

Wine 100 (Reviewed by Nick Stock) 2010 Edition
This stopped people in thier tracks recently when placed in a line-up of King Valley reds. Age has melded the varieties together and honed a deep, earthy, cherry and gentle spice nose - the oak is really discreet. The palate rolls out a carpet-like layer of fine, dense and fluffy tannins. Class act!
